Back-to-school season adds a lot of things to a busy parent’s to do list: purchasing school supplies, finding new clothes for your kids, and wrapping up summer programs. Don’t let a back to school check-up with Dr. Diana fall by the wayside during this busy time.

Having your child see a chiropractor resets their nervous system and gets them mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for the school year. Having your child see a chiropractor resets their nervous system and gets them mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for the school year. Having your child see a chiropractor resets their nervous system and gets them mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for the school year. Having your child see a chiropractor resets their nervous system and gets them mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for the school year.

Importance of the Back-to-School Check-Up

Late summer often results in a rush to complete back-to-school errands. Not to confuse a check-up with your school's annual physical, a check-up with Dr. Diana would be a preventative addition to your child's health routine.  Particularly if your child is a student athlete, it is a smart idea for all parents to get their child on a weekly or bi-weekly health plan. This is important for a variety of reasons, including:

Opportunity to check developmental processes

During a routine physical, your health professional will check all of your child’s body systems to ensure there are no apparent problems. This allows you to catch any problems early on and get your child the best early intervention resources available.

Ask yourself the following questions:

Has your child complained of any pain, fatigue, dizziness or digestive problems?
Have your child’s eating habits changed?
Does your child seem anxious or depressed?
Has your child reached important developmental milestones on time?
Has your child experienced any learning difficulties or other classroom problems?
How well does your child sleep?

If you want to check-in with your child before the school year, schedule a check-up with Dr. Diana.

Each time a chiropractor adjusts someone’s spine, we replace the negative information that is flooding the brain with positive information. This recalibrates the brain to help stop the release of chronic stress hormones and allows overall health and healing to occur. Every time a person receives a chiropractic adjustment, it positively affects the brain and nervous system. This positive effect on the brain promotes a state of ease and well-being within the body.
